I have appts in mid-March and we have reservations at Fairfield Inn. I keep looking at hotels which are closer, but this seems to have the best reviews and has a shuttle. Our biggest struggle is knowing how long we will be there. I have a lot of appts that first week, then nothing for almost a week. They are trying to adjust, but so far haven’t been able to get that last appt moved up. We are debating whether to stay over or make a second trip.

I have been going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for the last five years. I stay at the Econolodge on Broadway next to Perkins. Reasonably priced, clean rooms, wonderful continental breakfast, exercise room, friendly staff and free shuttle. Side note: the staff knows me by name when I walk in the door. 🙂

How long will you need lodging? Many of the hotels have full kitchens which can make longer term stays feel homey.

If you are having any difficulty finding a hotel or have special needs, all Mayo facilities have free concierge services which can help you find lodging mindful to your financial and medical situation.

@heidi2020 Perhaps your friend can list her rental availability with the concierge services at Mayo Clinic Rochester. I am not sure if the service would allow it to be part of their list of accommodations, but it is always worth a try. Many times, easing stress by having a "homey" place to rest up, is a wonderful alternative.
