April #MonthlyMission: Reaching 200 organ donors
Being an organ donor is a generous and worthwhile decision that can be a lifesaver. Organ donation gives hope to people awaiting a transplant.
During Donate Life Month, Mayo Clinic has set a goal to sign up 200 new organ donors. One donor can affect up to 85 lives. A difference can be made for thousands on the transplant waiting list with your help.
You can help reach the goal by:
- Signing up to be an organ donor
- Sharing Facebook or Twitter posts to encourage others to sign up
There are nearly 115,000 people still waiting for an organ transplant. Help close the gap today.

I am forever thankful to the person who made the decision to be an organ donor. I am alive today because of his decision.

Who can be a donor?
People of all ages and medical histories should consider themselves potential donors. Your medical condition at the time of death will determine what organs and tissue can be donated.
