Chest pain in 16 year old

Posted by misty0829 @misty0829, Dec 4, 2012

I've been having horrible chest pain for almost 2 years. I also get really sharp and stabbing pains that are severe. I have had x rays, EKG, scope, and also echocardiogram. My chest is also swollen. Now I have been very tired and not sleeping at night. I am getting really bad headaches. I don't want to do anything! Not even hang out with my friends. I'm 16 and just want my life back! Does anybody have any ideas or know what may be wrong??????? Please answer!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is your blood test result? Did you have a specific test such as Thyroid and/or auto immunity? How about your liver and pancreatic function?

Please do. Also, learn about relaxation technique. Feel well.

You should look at precordial catch syndrome, it sounds similar (although yours seems much more severe than mine) but probably worth a look (the Wikipedia article is reliable on this matter as my doctor printed that off for me)

talk to your parents and perhaps a trip to an endocrinologist to check out hormone levels. hormones that are out of balance can cause discomfort, swelling and mood swings..

your parents may know what was checked in these blood tests. blood tests are ordered by a dr for specific things, for example, if vitamins are at their normal levels, if hormones are at normal levels, if diseases are present and so on, your parents would most likely know what the dr ordered the blood tests for. failing that, you could ask your parent or parents to call the dr and ask. they are happy to answer these questions. it would be good for you to know.
