Hi, @bosco17. It is a good to hear about your 12 years with your liver. I am currently enjoying 11 years.
You said that you recently had some abnormal liver function tests. Who is advising that you have a liver biopsy? In my experience, it is the doctor who is monitoring my post transplant care, that decides on procedures and makes the necessary referrals for me. There are many causes for elevated liver function labs, and a liver biopsy sounds to me like a rather drastic step, unless you are having other symptoms. If I were you, I would contact the doctor for more information.

You are missing my point!!!!!! I will follow up with my transplant team BUT the question is ---Because I was transplanted in a different hospital Will the mayo clinic perform a biopsy if I need one or do I have to go where I was transplanted in NY.
