lorianz, I can't help with you medical issues persay. What I can help you and many of us with keeping track of all of our doctors and medicines.
Go on line to "JournalsUnlimited.com! I have used their journals for many years. The newest one I've found is, "Health, A Medical Journal". In it it has pages for Prescribed Diagnostic Tests on one page, the corresponding page has Your dates and times and what you saw them for so you can record and not forget! Incredable Jouranl!
I'm not trying to circumvent copy write rules, but on the opening page is has a whole paragraph which starts of with, "You are your own best advocate!" Goes on more about taking control of you health and well being!
If anyone has any questions about it, please let me know!

You're Welcome! I was looking over mine this morning and how else I can use it! Such as, my PCP and I are having on what's called by my hospital system, "My Chart"!
I questioning him on the systems understanding of my illness, plus saying we did a blood test two and a half years ago that showed "nothing? But in the last nine months my illness has gotten progressively worse!
They also a a separate "Pad" that you can record all of your medicenes and when you should take them! I refuse to use one of those plastic pilll holders!
That would say that I'm "OLD"! And I won't go there!
The Best to You!

@lorianz Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, a place to give and get support.

You are having multiple medical issues and the treatments you are receiving is not working.

You may find the lung health and chronic pain group helpful and I have linked it below.
- Lung Health https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/lung-conditions/
- Chronic Pain https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/pain/

It can be extremely difficult to treat multiple ailments at one time. I'm wondering if you've considered getting a second opinion and/or going to a hospital system that specializes in coordinating care?

Erika, I am still out here floundering around. I filled out an application with Mayo in Rochester. I have been declined. No particular reason was given except that Mayo gets so many applicants that they can’t take in every new patient. I am in the process of getting new specialists. 2, the pulmonologist and rheumatologist are out of my insurance network. I can’t justify paying out of pocket and.... I am not sure about the diagnosis’s they gave me. Do you have any idea why my request to become a patient was declined? So many people who use the Mayo Connect site also are being cared for at Mayo. Any advise would be welcome. Thank you for all you do. Lori

I am a patient at Mayo Jacksonville, and am so sorry to read of your health issues. I will say, I tried to get an appointment quite a few times on my own, and asked my pcp to refer me before that. I was declined, for the same reason as you say. The last time I asked my neurologist to refer me, I told him I was at the end of my rope for relief of my pain, needed help. I received a call from Mayo a week or so later, and they did a phone consultation after reviewing my records, and accepted me as a surgery patient! I was so happy, I felt so much of my anxiety and depression melt away with that phone call. That was last fall. I was put on a call list for surgery, they are so backed up from the pandemic. I was called, and had my surgery January 18 and am on the road to recovery. I hope you can keep trying and get some help! All the best, will pray for you.

lorianz.... sounds like a good idea. I have dozens of medical files, where I am having problems is overlapping information and photocopying and then have two copies on 2 different files, then doctor left town so I printed my file he gave me on usb stick and it goes on and on - hundreds of pages... but Doctors are putting our info on their files, usb sticks, but NO INDEX, so I am typing up an index which is so time consuing.... thing is, now I cant find anything at short notice, so maybe best to just journal it. My spouse has 2 files , one when he had cancer and one when heart surgery... I have forty! I hav also printed off pages re medications , test results, photos of urine test strips... its overwhelming and now I am not sure what info to keep and what to get rid of: I would like to put it all into a shredder.... and maybe jump in after it!!! Lori, just checking in with you, were you able to get a referral to Mayo yet? As I said earlier, it took a few tries before I was successful. Please ask one of your specialists to send a request to them.
