Anyone participating in the Tapestry DNA Sequencing Research?
if you have volunteered or declined to participate, I'd like to here your thoughts. I was on the fence, very undecided, yet I decided to go ahead to do it. I have a few low grade health problems im dealing with , and really dont want to hear anymore. That said, I realize this testing may be of great value at some point. Also its strictly voluntary and can be declined at anytime. I sent mine in today.
Whats your thoughts??

Hi @dazlin. I’m just wondering what the Tapestry DNA test is. Can you explain further? Is there any internet site to go to?
Here's the website Becky @becsbuddy - Tapestry DNA Sequencing Research Study - Mayo Clinic: https://www.mayo.edu/research/centers-programs/center-individualized-medicine/patient-care/clinical-studies/tapestry-dna-sequencing-research-study/overview
@johnbishop I just quickly looked at the website, I will have to really peruse it tomorrow. It could be interesting if they are still taking applicants.

I am participating. I think it will be interesting and I do have a hereditary disease so hopefully I'll find out more on that.
I received my kit and sent it in yesterday. Theres an ID # on vile you'll receive, don't forget to write it down before you seal it in box. I did forget, so i had to tear open and reseal. I believe the # is so you can view your results online. Not sure if they mail anything back to us. Thanks for your replies.
I am participating. This is my second go-around with the company actually doing the sequencing (Helix). The first time I had to pay a fee. I think is beneficial to know what types of hereditary genes one has (good or bad). I am curious to see how mine changes, if at all.
I enrolled in the Tapestry Study and am very interested in getting the results back. It's just amazing how long it takes to get results. I sent mine in months ago and the results are still not back.
I sent my kit in 2 days ago. I feel that if my results can benefit someone, then I should do it. Mayo has been wonderful to me! I’ll do whatever I can to help them.
Depends on the types of insurance you have. I’m participating for the greater good.
I am participating as I am interested in the results and feel that, if it could be of benefit to someone else through Mayo research, that’s the biggest benefit.
