Mac + lung cavity

my 3 centimetre cavity has healed in 16 months with the 3 antibiotics - both shocked and delighted. Preventative medicine doctor assisted my immune system cope - also recommended a vegan diet for last 9 months.

Thx Heather!! I know what strepsils are but what are the other two (strepfen and neurofen)and how do you get them? They sound like lozenges also. Thanks so much—judy

@judyhodgern Yes Judy, I am on Arikayce. I started at the beginning of June. I had some major side effects in the beginning, but now it is just lots of coughing, sore throat, voice that comes and go, body aches, and mild headache. I also had to have a radical hysterectomy on 9/18 so I took a one week break which the company was aware of- the coughing made my bladder angry! I am quite hopeful the Arikayce plus the other meds will cure the MAC. Popsicles sound awesome. I consume Italian lemon ice and Friendly’s vanilla bean ice cream like it’s my job! irene5

Hi Irene I like the suggestion of the Italian ice and the ice cream works on my IBS so I can’t eat it but the ice goes down nicely!!

Hi @judyhodgern They are called Strepfen, and are a mix of strepsils and an anti inflammatory med mixed together in a lozenge, straight to the throat, a miracle worker. I think you can get them online.

Are you talking about 7% saline? If so, my Walgreens in South Texas and Minnesota have it for about $15 for 50 vials, but I need to let them know 5-7 days in advance because they don't keep it in stock. Many here get it on-line, for a similar price I believe. CVS here was much higher, and it is not available at our Walmart.

I get mine on-line from Express Scripts. It’s about $35 for 60 viles.
