Does anyone find that they get a dry throat from 7% twice a day? If so, what helps?
So good!

1 ReactionRoom temperature water right after neb. I also have used Biotene lozenges, intended for dry mouth, and they help a little.

1 ReactionThanks! I’ll try both.
More dry mouth than throat- I try to rinse with water immediately after and also have found Biotene mouth rinse helpful
Both actually; it mostly bothers me at night and i used to think maybe I was dehydrated or something like that but then I realized it is likely from the saline. I’ll get the mouth rinse when I get the lozenges.
This is really helpful, as usual. I was going to ask my doctor and then i realized I’d probably get better suggestions here 🙂
Thanks again,

3 ReactionsI have terrible hoarseness and sore throat Almost continuously As a side effect from the Arikayce I take for my MAC everyday. My pulmonologist in Denver told me to get strepsils lozenges —you have to get them on line. They are very soothing and help a lot. The are kind of expensive but work for me. I keep them in fridge or they become sticky. Hope thy can help someone else too! Judy

1 Reaction@judyhodgern Yes, those lozenges are a big help. I get them on Amazon. Arikayce has the sore throat and the hoarseness as a common side effect. I’m ok with that, if ultimately it works and helps to kill MAC. irene5
