@suzquez Great idea. Our meditation sangha is Zooming on Thursday. Very helpful. We have been bonded like glue for 4 years. Very helpful. With Zoom everyone is on the photo grid or collage. All you need is a phone or pad.
My knitting group met by Google Hangouts this morning. We had to work out a few minor technical issues, but once we did, we had a great time and it gave us a chance to connect with and support each other. We plan to keep doing this weekly until it's safe to gather in person again.
We had our 6 family meeting at 2:00 to 3:30 PM. 'Twas very fun. Shared Lego men and played like we were passing the babies. Found out the funnest things that happened that week and how each person's work was dealing with the Corona virus. Good times.

Funny because I have used Zoom for work and we had issues with it hanging up on people. Maybe they have boosted their infrastructure to handle the increased traffic. Btw Google Hangouts is free also.

@coloradogirl, Thanks for the post. We have had no problem with Zoom. We use it at Mayo and for our Sangha meditation on Thursday. Range is good. Quality is good. We will keep Google Hangouts in mind. It is important to stay in touch. We have 9 of us and it is like having a slumber party.
Be safe and protected. Chris

@coloradogirl nice to see you've added a picture. I use both Google hangouts and Zoom. Free Zoom limits to 45 minute calls, but the quality is good for me.
My friend who plays viola in the Bamberg Symphony in Germany sent this to me today. I wonder what they used 🙂 Enjoy.
My siblings in California are going to set up weekly family meetings on zoom. My brothers are techies so they know how to do this. Can't want to see my extended family. Everyone is at home unless essential worker. Definitely sounds like a good plan.

We've tried Google Hangouts before. Zoom was much easier. Only one person had to join and it was free.

Today we had our church small group on Zoom for the first time. It worked pretty well.
