@danielad Hello Dee,
I just wanted to check-in and see how you are feeling. Are you still having a lot of nausea?
When you feel up to it, I'd love to hear from you.
@hopeful33250 -- Hi Teresa. Thank you for the message. I am recovering, but feel pretty poorly still. I am still nauseous, mostly in the morning. My 46 year old daughter made the comment to her brothers - "Oh my! Mom is Pregnant!" Too funny! And no, I look very young, but I would make History if I were! 😀
This afternoon, I have a "Telemedicine" appointment with my Radiation Oncologist. My first such appointment! @colleenyoung will be very proud of me! So I downloaded "Zoom.us" and I am ready to go.🙂
Thank you Teresa! Stay healthy!
-- Dee
@colleenyoung -- I have started the discussion entry you recommended, but didn't continue .... Still the nausea issue. I will do it! Dee
@danielad
Good to hear from you, Dee! That is great that you started the new discussion, thanks for doing that.
I hope your telemedicine appointment goes well this afternoon. Will you post again?
This is what I have going on!

Metastatic adenocarcinoma involving skeletal bone with unknown primary site
Of course I googled it.,,...doesn’t look good but have an appointment with an oncologist next Thursday. A plum sized mass..... hell of a run but now time to regroup. Anyone know about my problem? I’m hanging tight here in Portland Oregon.
@wolfhound1966 Quite the mouthful for the diagnosis, isn't it? I found this article by the Nat'l Institute of Health https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9865824 that may give you some insight. Apparently, there may be further testing to determine the primary cause of the adenocarcinoma, so treatment can be tailored to your situation.
Have you been able to determine the background of the oncologist you will see? One of the best cancer centers near you is OSHU Knight Cancer Institute [which appears to have at least 3 different campuses near Portland, not sure which one has a sarcoma unit].
Will you let us know what the oncologist recommends to you, please?
I am tagging @merpreb into this, as she is a member and Volunteer Mentor in the Lung Cancer group, where there seems to be several with adenocarcinoma. She may have some insight for you.

@wolfhound1966 - Good afternoon. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. It's not easy to hear that you have cancer. It feels like being hit over the head with a sledgehammer! How are you besides the pain in your hip? When did your pain begin?
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/carcinoma-unknown-primary/symptoms-causes/syc-20370683
The pain was in my left hip area and was progressively worse everyday......just recently had my first radiation treatment a long one as they used heavy dosage rather than 10 short ones. Gonna hit it hard again on Monday and go from there...,.. having a port installed on the 23rd for chemo......just crazy as I was golfing and fishing in November and December! Dang!!
@wolfhound1966 Glad to hear from you, and sorry you have had so much pain. I am holding out that you will be back golfing and fishing in the future. I hope you are satisfied with your oncology team? How can we help you today?
Ginger
How are you doing, @wolfhound1966? Any side effects from the heavy dose radiation treatments?
Good luck with the port tomorrow.
