@janlanderz will you still be able to go to your appointment next week? Are you able to do the appointment by phone or video?

I actually attended the cancer centre today, but did inquire the day before going if the appointment was still happening since I live 2 and half hours away... I did ask the nurse if they were doing video conferencing...and she said they were in some cases... she did not offer that to me, and since it was my first appointment with this doctor... I did not want to push the envelope... He just explained that the blood biopsy that I had done to see if I had any type of change in my cancer, for a more targeted therapy, came back that there is no change... therefore I did not qualify for the clinical trial/study called CAPTUR... He did discuss, my last results, of my last scan, from my oncologist in the city I live in and he is aware of the one tumor that had grown... I have a CAT scan at the end of May hoping that the tumor that grew is pseudo progression... and if not what my options may have to be... he did indicate there was a clinical trial I could try if radiation was not an option if the tumor does not start to decrease and/or if other nodules/tumors show up..

@janlanderz- Good morning. So you had your second opinion. Are you disappointed? Did you like your new doctor? What are you plans now?

My husband has small cell lung cancer, stage 4. He was diagnosed in January of 2020 and starts his 4th series of treatment March 22nd. He has had little or no side effects , only hair loss. So far ,so good, with his MRI showing his two major tumors have shrunk. He golfs once or twice a week and plays pickleball 4 times a week. With the coronavirus, we have not played since last week . We. Are looking for an outside park to play today.

@popkorhn- Good morning. I haven't heard from you in a while. I'm wondering how you and your husband are doing during the pandemic? It must be difficult not playing pickleball?

Yes i have been diagnosed. I have had 2 rounds of chemo, and I'm wiped out. No appetite for food. Any suggestions?

@nursed2075- Good morning. I'm checking in to see how you are doing. How is it for you having cancer and having the COVID-19 virus going around? Does it make things more difficult int he hospital when you have treatments?

Welcome! I’m living with stage 4 lung cancer which nodules had spread to liver and stomach. Did chemo treatments (Carbopltin, Pemetrexed , pembrolieumab) for 7 or 8 months. Tough road so went on Keytruda and have stayed the same since except do not get sick. Have blow out for a day and half and than feel good till next treatment. (Every 21 days). So far so good.

@richcolleen- I've been thinking about you and wonder how you are weathering your cancer? Are you still doing well after your treatments?
