No power for hours, electric company had to replace old worn equipment. Not a fun day. Hot hot hot.
Backyard had ash, not sure what fire it was from. Orange moon and sun. Still cleaning from Wolsey Fire, and now fires all around California, Oregon and parts of Washington State.
I think the latest paint color should be called SOOT, with a darker version called ASH.
Who ever thought keeping white walls clean would be such a chore?

I experienced something I named the Chicago Wall Syndrome. Ages ago, during my first marriage, my husband and I lived in a newly painted (white) apartment in Hyde Park. After a couple of years I noticed a spot on the living room wall and cleaned it off and then noticed how gray all the rest of the wall had become from coal soot and other nasty pollution. I cleaned wider and wider and finally gave up. Hence the Chicago Wall Syndrome. It can apply to places other than Chicago.

@funcountess. We never lost power down here boy I can imagine how you talked to Edison lol We are getting back the ash and smoke from the bobcat 🔥 someone said We are just starting summer too We need rain lets all do the rain dance

Well crumb, @funcountess! As much as I dislike really cold weather, at least with it one can layer up. With extreme heat and no ac, there is little one can do. Hope you have restored service now! Would send you some of our sudden cool if only I could pkg it!!
