Can sebaceous carcinoma metastasize? If so, to where?

Hello @lmbeto, welcome to Connect. In no specific terms about where it can spread, Mayo Clinic's website says, "Sebaceous carcinoma treatment usually involves surgery to remove the cancer. Sebaceous carcinoma can spread to other areas of the body and may be difficult to treat." (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/sebaceous-carcinoma/cdc-20352957)

@lmbeto, if you are comfortable sharing, were you diagnosed with sebaceous carcinoma? If so, did it start in the common place of your eyelid, or somewhere else?

Hello. It doesn't look like there have been many comments on sebaceous carcinoma but am wondering if there is anyone following this topic and can share experiences. I've recently had a mole-like growth on my shoulder diagnosed as sebaceous carcinoma and an additional biopsy test is scheduled. Thanks for any reply.
