I haven't researched this because we were told that aspergillus is everywhere. My husband's asthma became so bad after his cancer that he would be gasping for breath when he walked across the room. Although it's not advertised for asthma, he found that Dupixent was a miracle treatment.
Hello @goodyrl and welcome to Connect!
While I did not find a direct answer to your question, I did find some information on Mayo Clinic's website as to areas to avoid if you have this condition Here is the link to that information.

I have copied part of this article regarding things to avoid if you have this lung problem:
"Aspergillus mold is unavoidable. Outdoors, it's found in decaying leaves and compost and on plants, trees and grain crops. Everyday exposure to aspergillus is rarely a problem for people with healthy immune systems. When mold spores are inhaled, immune system cells surround and destroy them. But people who have a weakened immune system from illness or immunosuppressant medications have fewer infection-fighting cells. This allows aspergillus to take hold, invading the lungs and, in the most serious cases, other parts of the body. Aspergillosis is not contagious from person to person."
I would also like to invite, @noahs, who has also posted about being diagnosed with this lung problem. You might also find some helpful information in a Connect discussion called, MAC and Bronchiectasis. Here is the link to that discussion, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/bronchiectasis-new-diagnosis/?pg=12#comment-287521
If you care to share more, do you or a family member have this disorder? If so, how are being treated currently?
