Anyone else with PN and night sweats out there?

Posted by hotfooted @hotfooted, Jan 15, 2020

I wear wool socks to sleep in, but have moved from warm pajamas to a cooler cotton gown because of night sweats. The pain in my feet keeps me awake when they are cold. Now I sleep all night, but wake up sopping wet in the mornings. I lose 3 to 4 pounds during the night! Does anyone else have a similar problem? The only med I take at night is 2 Benadryl, and I do run the overhead fan all night. House temperature is set at 67. I do take Cymbalta every morning with my Metformin and Pioglitzen and Lisinopril. My blood pressure is great, usually around 123 / 66 or so... The night sweats are something new to me, having begun only a couple of weeks ago.. I haven't seen my doctor again, but dread having to open one more can of worms in regard to my health issues..

My husband, who is Type 2 Diabetic, used to suffer from night sweats before his blood sugars were better controlled.

I know what you mean. I have the night sweats at times too, seems like it comes in streaks and then it goes away but returns No answers on the reason. My feet burn so bad some nights that I feel like I will scream with the pain and cannot go to sleep. My cold laser therapy device helps relieve most of the pain, but not all. Good luck, I hope that you find some answers.

@maryv449, I am interested in your use of the cold laser device. I have one experience where a Podiatrist used a cold laser device on my feet with results for Peripheral Neuropathy pain.also @hotfooted. I have not had night sweats. thanks

I am glad that you know what it is. I bought mine from Amazon for $129 and i have prime so no shipping. Everyone that i have told about it has has relief for lots of different pain. I am grateful for the neurapathy relief. It is a small price to pay and like I mentioned the co pays were killing me (3x a week) so now I am able to save time and money. I do it for 10 mins 2x a day and am very satisfied. I stopped using the ultrasound for now, but, i will start again for my shoulder pain. Good luck.
