@jiatennis - Where in Florida are you moving to?
Palm coast, either grand heaven or marina. My husband love Daytona race track.
Hi Jia, I live in St. Augustine. I'm sorry I can't answer your specific question about your treatment options, but I can tell you that Mayo Jacksonville is outstanding. Before we moved here, we were in Boston and used Mass General. I despaired of finding that same quality of medical care, so I was doubly delighted when I found Mayo here. I have so much confidence in every single person I've worked with. I think @seaspray - gave you the best advice suggesting a call to the oncology department. I see that you planned to make that call. Fingers crossed that it works out.
BTW, I think you and your husband are going to love Palm Coast. Our favorite Italian restaurant is there in the European Village. It's called La Piazza. If you like Italian, don't miss it! Also, my favorite quilt shop is there. Best of luck continuing your treatment at Mayo Jax - and with the move.
Hi @jiatennis, I extend my welcome to you as well. You'll note that I changed the title of your discussion to be more specific to your question. I agree with @seaspray to contact Mayo directly. Here is more info about Lung Cancer Care at Mayo Clinic

I'm also tagging @burrkay on this discussion as he and his wife, who has stage 4 lung cancer, also go to Mayo, Jacksonville.
Jia, is this treatment a maintenance treatment? In other words, you continue to take it as long as you tolerate it well?
Thanks Debbra for your replay. We will go to your favorite restaurant to try. I called mayo and they will call me back next Monday to give me the right answer! I appreciate you all! and I am confident that Mayo have this treatment.🤞🏻
Thanks Colleen for your reply. Thanks for Rewriting my question to right order. Yes, this treatment is a maintenance for me as long as Control the tumor aren’t progression. I will check the link which you post for me, thanks again!
Hi jiatennis! Just a gentle reminder that as of Monday, Mayo is somewhat on vacation! They take the holiday's seriously over there! I once had an infusion the day before Christmas and there was no doctor to fill a script for me. The place becomes a ghost town. Otherwise you will love it.
Hi Seaspray, thanks for your nice reminder! Good that! I will give 2 days to wait them call me back! 👍🙏🤞🏻😍
My husband,PopKorhn, has just been diagnosed on January 7th,with Stage 4 small Cell lung cancer . He had his first Chemo treatment yesterday at Moffitt here in Tampa Fl. The initial 3 treatment drugs prescribed are , Tecentriq (Atezolizumab),Topsar (Etoposide) and Carboplaton. We go today and tomorrow for the 3 day Chemo and immunotherapy every 3 weeks for 4 sessions , then Tests to see how well he is responding. The thoracic small cell specialist we are seeing is doing a clinical trial study which Pop may or may not be eligible for. Has anyone with small cell lung cancer, which has metastasized, been involved with a clinical trial or had other treatments which have been positive?
Brenda
Hi jiatennis, any luck with Mayo?
