Neuropathy & Exercise

How have you received enough physical exercise while dealing with neuropathy?? Do you walk in spite of the condition; tiptoe to get around; particular exercise program, etc.?

Peggy @pfbacon - What Rachel @rwinney says - YES for me too. I do usually get 7 to 8-1/2 hours sleep but sometimes it's better than other times due to my sleep apnea and using a CPAP machine. Sleep is the great healer for the body 🙂

@johnbishop Hello John, how are you today? Yesterday I was a miserable beast from not sleeping the night before due to uncontrolled pain. I find that not sleeping adds insult to injury big time. The brain and body are so interconnected and dependent on each other for our well being. Have a nice day!

@rwinney Hey there Rachel. Hi @johnbishop Last night was just horrible for me. Can’t get enough sleep so have to deal with some heavy duty pain in my legs. Wait a minute. These are not my legs. I refuse to claim them.

Storm last night came with a very low barometric pressure. Wish I could hibernate until the pressure is in cheery territory. However.....let the day begin. I promised Jay a special breakfast. Hmmmm, wonder if he would recognize Cheerios?

Be content and at ease. Love the new pic.

Hi Rachel! @rwinney -- As someone I used to listen to often says..."Better than I deserve...." 🙂 I had 8-1/2 hours sleep last night and an AHI of less than 4 which my sleep doc says is my target so it was a good night. Only had one trip to the bathroom which is good for me. It is 55 and cloudy with sprinkles here which makes it gloomy. I am so ready for Spring and things to green up with flowers blooming. Hoping the sun will shine through today and brighten things up.

Hey Chris @artscaping - Cheerios are "heart healthy" ...or so goes the advertising 🙂 I've been buying those 16 pack Activia Yogurt things for my quick snack or breakfast. Hoping your pain goes away quickly...sending some of my cyber numbness to trade for your cyber pain. Also sending you a song to cheer you up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3GbF9Bx6E.

Good morning Chris @artscaping . Sorry to hear how your day is beginning. Yesterday was the same feeling for me...I refused to claim my legs because they just can't be mine! I like the way you put it. I say serve up the Cheerios, tomorrow is another day. Be well today and I hope your temple (thats what I call my body 😊) works with you to find some improvement. Be well. 💐
Rachel

PS...thank you for the compliment. I've been undecided on a new pic ...turned the big 5 0 last week so wanted to freshen up my pic to reflect how I roll, and that it mostly in a baseball hat! 😜

@rwinney, A temple huh? Mine sure needs some remodeling. My body feels like a dungeon. That’s OK. My heart, mind and soul are temples honoring life and love and happiness.

I am fairly amazed by this - I got 7 1/2 hours sleep one night recently and woke up feeling good - it's been so long since I woke up feeling good that I waited for awhile for the pain to hit, but it didn't. I had to take cold medicine that night because my sinuses were stuffed up because of allergies - it has some anti-histamine, the bottle warns that it causes drowsiness so I took a children't dose. I had only been getting 4 1/2 to 5 hours a night. I'm trying to get more. I'm not going to make it tonight, it's 1:13 and here I am ... but I'll keep trying and see if it's consistent. Do any of you find that sleep or lack of sleep affects your pain level? Peggy
