Hi folks! I’m Kari. I am getting ready to start my second IVF cycle next month, following a failed cycle in Oct/Nov. My husband and I were fortunate to get pregnant with our first child after only 2 months of trying back in 2014. But, now we’re dealing with secondary infertility and have been trying to get pregnant with our second child for nearly 4 years. My husband is a non-Hodgkin’s survivor and now has a low count/motility. So, that’s what led us to IVF. I have also struggled with my weight for most of my life. But, I have lost 45 lb since our last cycle in hopes of improving my health and our chances. Here’s hoping it does the trick!

Hi,

My husband and I have been on TTC journey since we got married in 2018. We have only had one pregnancy in November of 2018 that ended in a difficult miscarriage at 10 weeks. We had gone in for what was supposed to be a happy 9 week, see your baby for the first time, ultrasound. Only our ultrasound showed a 6 week baby with no heart beat. Since then we have not had any more positive pregnancy results.

We started looking into IVF in August of 2019 and have an unexplained infertility diagnosis. We started IVF injection in the beginning of January and had our first egg retrieval on January 17th with 17 eggs retrieved. Of those only 6 fertilized and 4 made it to blast. We transplanted 2 embryos on January 22nd and found on February 5th that none of them stuck. We are looking at completing a frozen transfer in April and trying really hard to stay optimistic.

Welcome to the group! I am so happy that you are here and hopefully having some people who can somewhat relate to what you are going thru will help as you move along the process. While each of us have a different journey we all know what it is like to start and how lonesome it can be! I am so sorry that your journey has gone the way that it has to this point. I am sending positive vibes your way with your next transfer in April!!

I was 35 when I had my son. Now I’m 41 and pregnant. I feel great. I think our son made us feel younger. He certainly made us get off our butts. Being older I think made us calmer parents and we will be again. As for the pregnancy, I haven’t noticed any real difference.
