@jakedduck1 m-m-m-m Hershey’s kisses. Right after we were married, we lived in Hershey, PA., just two blocks from the chocolate factory! The smells were unbelievable! I could gain weight just by breathing!

@becsbuddy: Mixed blessing, I think, to live in chocolate factory town. Grew up in western Austria, famous for well known “Milka” chocolate brand sold throughout Europe, and made mostly in a little town called Bludenz, Austria. Situated in a valley leading to ski areas. I took a break from skiing to do some specialty shopping, etc. in that small town. Hit what they call “inversion” of atmosphere. Off the train, EVERYTHING smelled like chocolate. The people, the pizza place, the parfumerie, the coffee shop, the hot dog stands. NO, THANK YOU. Even if you love chocolate, this was too much.

Hahaha, that’s hilarious, we should put that in the joke thread. I needed a laugh. There use to be a Hershey plant 15 miles from me but it closed some years ago. I don’t understand it since California produces 80% of the worlds almonds. I really enjoyed going through it and shopping in the their store. The free candy bar on the tour wasn’t quite enough. Did they have a store and tours in Pennsylvania.
