Marijuana Are we ready?
Hi, I just want to ask if someone has any idea on which marijuana strain would be very effective when it comes with anxiety attacks and sleep disorder?
I've been suffering for almost 2 months now and mostly can't sleep properly at night. I refrain my self on taking meds coz it seems doesn't work for me. So I started reading some alternative way for my problem and came across this article about northern lights kush strain from https://www.gyo.green/cannabis-seedbanks/barneys-farm-cannabis-seeds and how it could help you relax but the problem is I don't smoke. But then I also found out that you can also make drinks or tea and even muffin/cake as an option aside from smoking it. Why they can't just simply make a pill out of marijuana if they say it could really be some help? Or maybe there are that I'm not aware of. If this is true I would gladly want to hear any of your experience and thoughts regarding this. Thanks in advance

@arethamorce You're right, there are so many types and choices, aren't there? I am tagging @artscaping to ask her to help you out. She recently was able to give a lot of information to us as a group!

@arethamorce, @gingerw, Good evening, Welcome to Connect, @arethamorce, we are here not as medical experts but just as folks who understand and have great compassion for those that may need some help or direction. It looks like you need direction for entry into the world of medical cannabis and I need help as in more information about your pain and discomfort.
You have indicated that you are not sleeping well and that this has been going on for two months. You also mention anxiety and sleep disorder.
Have you sought medical attention? Do you know if you are suffering from depression? Have you experienced a traumatic event or loss recently? All of those situations can result in an inability to sleep. Sometimes the anxiety about not being able to sleep creates more sleeplessness which in turn creates more anxiety. Do you know what your sleep disorder is called?
You also indicate that you do not want to use medications. Medical cannabis is a natural medication and can be a replacement for traditional prescriptions. For example, I have Small Fiber Neuropathy (SFN) for which there is no surgical fix or cure. I have totally replaced traditional pain medications with medical cannabis. However, it is not as easy as taking a pill every few hours or so. There are gel capsules with CBD which I have tried but do not currently use. My go-to routine to stay out of pain and sleep well includes tinctures, topicals and an occasional vape. By the way, you do not smoke medical cannabis.
The challenge is to find the medical cannabis products that will keep you ahead of the pain and permit daily functioning which includes sleeping.
If you live in a state in which medical cannabis is legal then the door will be open for you to have a good selection. Would you be comfortable sharing your location with me?
I am happy to share my partner's experience also. With restless leg and recent prostate cancer surgery....sleeping well has been a challenge. Getting to sleep is a twitching problem from the restless leg and staying asleep is a prostate issue. With a dropper of medical cannabis tincture at bedtime, his restless leg is calmed and his urinary tract remains quiet until morning. He is very happy.
Please help me with the information requested so that I will have valid product options and delivery systems to discuss with you. Be safe and protected tonight. Chris
