Lump by screw from gamma knife surgery, anyone else?

Posted by jmb73 @jmb73, Aug 12, 2019

I have a lump where the screw was put in for my gamma surgery. It has become painful and I am not sure if I should see my PC or neuro surgeon or just leave it alone. I had my Gamma surgery on Jan 11. Has anyone had this problem?

Hi Joan, I'm trying to get some more info on cbd for my sister. She's tried 2 epidurals for her back pain, but she's still in pretty severe pain. Do you think she should see a doctor to know how much to start with or do they have knowledgeable people working at the cbd stores? When it's used in oil form, do you rub it on where your feel pain? Does it also come in pill or liquid form? Which is best? Thanks! Keep me updated after your mri. Jill

Hi Jill, I'm sorry to hear your sister is in such pain. I buy my marijuana from a company called Trulieve. It was recommended by the Canna MD doctor. In FL, you have to see a state approved doctor before you can get your license to purchase medical marijuana. Please be careful with the script that the doctor writes. A friend of mine took what the doc wrote and hallucinated for 30 hours. I don't want to scare you. I have never had a problem. I requested a consult with a gentleman at Trulieve before I purchased my CBD & THC. He said to go low and slow and told me to take the oil that you put under your tongue. He said you then can adjust the dosage to what works for you. The Canna doc had said to take 20cc of CBD & THC and the consultant said to take .5cc CBD and .2cc THC. That's a huge difference and it worked for me! I adjust it when the pain gets worse and take .7cc of CBD and .3 cc of THC now- after 2 years of using it. I didn't want to take the pill as I was afraid it might be too much. I have tried an 8 CBD / 1Thc oil that is already mixed but they put a mint flavor in it and the mint was too strong for me. I used it as a salve. They have salves to rub into her back. The next time I buy some more, I am getting a salve too. Now I just have my husband rub some on my foot and it really helps with the pain. CBD & THC have been a huge help for me. I take the .7 of CBD every 3-4 hours and only take the THC when I need it. It takes about 20 minutes to fully work. The nurse at the hospital where I had my Gamma surgery told me to bring just the CBD with me. After the helmet came off, I had a wicked headache and nausea. She had me take 2 full cc's of CBD and it took care of the pain and nausea. She said "you can't OD on CBD". You can on THC but my consultant said it also helps with the pain. .4cc of THC actually makes me sleepy. I hope this wasn't too long and confusing. Let me know if you need more information. Take care, Joan
