Microphones for friends in noisy spaces

Posted by nightwatchrenband @nightwatchrenband, Jul 24, 2019

I have seen references to microphones for associates in noisy places which will send voice to your hearing aids. Can anyone give me some more informaiton, experiences, sources etc on these. Sounds like a great idea.

I think now you can use your IPHONE as MIC when you are sitting in Restaurant you put it on the table to hear them better. Anyone used the IPHONE for that reason.

In response to gulzar, I believe that only works with Iphones, not with androids. I did have an IPhone, could have phone conversations piped directly into my ear, adjust levels and programs for my aid with the phone. However, android phones do not connect to tcoil aids, from what I know.

Gulzar, I think you may be referring to a function called Live Listen. I have an iPhone with Resound hearing aids. Live Listen lets me use my iPhone as a remote mic. I can give my phone to someone and that persons voice is streamed directly into my aids. I did not like it since it amplified all the restaurant background noise. Maybe if I put my aids in restaurant mode first, it would have helped???
