High temperature, heart rate, and chills associated with mental health
So long story short, for the past 11 years i've been in and out of the hospital for 103 temperature, 120+ heart rate, chills, shaking and some other minor things. The doctors in both the hospital and my regular doctors office have run almost every test available with no answer. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone in here for possible mental health issues? Anyone else have something similar? I have been trying to google to see if any connections but would love to hear straight from those who maybe dealing with the same issues. You would think after 11 years of ER visits that someone would suggest mental health which leads me to believe maybe its not. Just looking for some guidance.

Hi @rjdavis031 that must be so confusing having found no reason for all of these symptoms. You may have noticed I changed the title of your post to "High temperature, heart rate, and chills associated with mental health." I did this so that more Connect members will see your post.
I wanted to introduce you to @contentandwell @johnbishop and @oldkarl as they have experience with mystery illnesses and may be able to provide support.
You mentioned in your original title anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Do you believe you are experiencing other symptoms of one or more of his illnesses?
Hi @rjdavis031, I have no medical training or background but the symptoms kind of sound like sepsis but I'm guessing that's already been checked by your doctors.

Have you thought about getting a second opinion? If you would like get a second opinion from Mayo Clinic, you can find the contact information for
the Minnesota, Arizona and Florida campuses here http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.
Some of the symptoms line up with some of the above mental illnesses, but what is confusing to me is what is triggering them. I cannot recall something triggering me into an episode. The episodes start out either very slow and get worse or come on very fast.
I have thought about getting a second opinion. Actually just had a genetic test done to see if my dna had any sort of trait for high temperatures. That came back negative for any dna trait. I did see a mental health counselor and she said it was panic attacks, but I cannot fully believe that because each episode that takes me to the ER has been different. I cannot think of anything that would trigger me into an attack either.
@rjdavis031 I feel @johnbishop may be more on the right track. Sudden high temperatures can lead to shivers/shaking as the body rushes blood to the surface in an attempt to cool down. That can trigger faintness as blood is taken away from some other "jobs". A sudden onset can leave you shaken and anxious, perhaps it is over for the most part before you can present to a medical professional, so it baffles everyone. Can you recall an activity, or meal, or exposure that happens near these episodes? Perhaps an appt with an infectious disease person might shed some light? We care here and want to help. Please let us know what you find out.

@rjdavis031 Ive been reading your post and its is so hard to tell what brings on chills and feves beside illness like colds good choice to advocate for yourselve you can get a 2nd ever 3rd opinion so please do .
I am fairly certain you do not have fever and chills from mental health problems. I hope that you have seen a top Infectious Disease Specialist and an Auto Immune Specialist. You have a physical health problem, and it is causing you emotional problems. God bless, and I would suggest anything to help calm your spirit. Music, Yoga,....things such as this. Lori Renee
I remember my first episode happened when I was in the Army doing office work, shredding paper and other things. That evening I had to go my ambulance to the ER. Another episode happened after working out, spent 8hrs trying to get the heart rate back to normal in the ER. I've tried looking at food by documenting it but nothing has come to light. Episodes have occurred in different seasons. One episode did take place after having an argument. That was the last time. As far as an infectious disease doctor, i've seen my local one. He didn't offer any test outside some blood work. He never could pin point anything in the office. Plus i've had an MRI on the brain, echo, allergy doctor, gastro doctor, chest xray, ct scan, blood works by the dozens. ultrasound. All come back negative. That's why I was leaning towards mental health because I read somewhere that certain cases it can raise your temperature.
Thanks! I think an Auto Immune Spec. is about the only doctor I probably haven't seen yet. I just wish one test would come back with some sort of answer or lead us to answer.
Best of luck to you! Lori
