Neuropathy and other strange symptoms
I’m going to mayo in a few weeks, but I thoughtI’m I would write about my symptoms here to see if anyone has experienced something similar. I have burning and tingling in my arms and legs. It feels like there is an electric shock running through my body at all times. This has been going on for almost 10 years now, and when it began I also developed vertigo and I’m unsure if that has any relation. I have various food sensitivities, trouble sleeping, brain fog, constipation, and tinnitus. These symptoms all started together, and I’m not sure if they’re all related but it seems as though they are. The pain is nonstop, although it has lessened and worsened on and off over time. If anyone has any similar symptoms or any advice please advise!! Thank you for reading.

Hi, @vradifegari - I wanted to add my welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.
@jakedduck1 - which of the lamotrigine, phenobarbital, clonazepam, valproic acid, topiramate or tiagabine for nerve pain would you not take personally? Have you had problems when taking some of these?
@lisalucier
Hi,
I personally wouldn’t take any of them for nerve pain but who knows what might work. I’ve taken Phenobarbital for 52 years. My belief is long term use of Dilantin & Phenobarbital is what caused my Neuropathy and some doctors agree.
I’ve also taken Clonazepam Valproic Acid. I refuse to take Topiramate under any circumstances. Has anyone had relief taking any of these drugs?

I've been in horrible pain for a little over a year now. My left side from the waist up is numb,needle sticks,burning from hell,horrible headaches,and the pain is non stop! I dnt know what to do, pain meds dnt help, lyrics helps some, and to sleep they have me on trazadome. When i wake the pain is there! Always there, it's driving me crazy! Help!!??
Hello @resawaller, Welcome to Connect. I'm sorry to hear you are in constant pain. You mentioned being on Lyrica to help with the pain and Trazadone to help you sleep but the pain is always there when you wake up. Have you talked to your doctor to see if there might be alternative treatments that would work better? Are you able to share a little more about your diagnosis?

Good morning John. Thank you for the link. My internet Explorer says " Can not open it". Could you, please, copy the page and paste in a Word document. I mean the images of excercises and description of them.
Thank you very much.

Good morning Vradi @vradifegari -- I think it must be something with your Internet Explorer browser. I just clicked the link you posted about and it took me to the hand exercises page. Try this one on Mayo Clinic's website. It's for arthritis but the exercises are pretty much the same.

@vradifegari, the chairs look nice but for me I think they would be too low when sitting and very hard for me to get up because they have no arms on the chairs to help with getting out of the chair. They do look comfortable though.
