I have used Xiidra now for about 2 years now. I have had good results with the drops. The taste is not that great but does go away, just don't lay down right after you use. Also, do not miss any doses unless directed by your doctor.
Since you are unable to save any drops I use the whole tube. My eyes are very dry since I live in West Texas and I have Sjogren's.
The drops are quite expensive if you do not have insurance.
Aquaphor for skin, plugs in the drains of my tear ducts, Oasis Tears Plus during the day and eye “ointment” (not lubricant) at night. I had a cough for years that was misdiagnosed as bronchitis. Guess what? Dry bronchial tubes due to Sjogrens. Who knew? With a humidifier on my cPap machine, I finally have that under control.
Good evening @deannweir, @sue225, I have graduated to Xiidra. It seems to be doing the job as I need less of the artificial tears every day. The ophthalmologist told me that the only way I could escape dry eye with small fiber neuropathy was to move to a rain forest. So far MN has higher humidity and more moisture (rain/snow) than any other place I have lived including Hawaii. It is so good to see folks sharing what works or might work for other members. Thank you everyone.
May you all be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.
Chris
Thanks for sharing your Xiidra experience. I have been putting off starting them. My opthalmologist did mention the taste side effect.
@sue225 Next appt I have I'm going to talk to the Dr about Xiidra I put Somedays 5-6 times a day
@lioness I lost count years ago of how many times a day I put artificial tears in my eyes. I'd be thrilled if it was five times a day.
I have dry everything!
Dry eyes(Systane)
Dry mouth(prescription toothpaste)
Nasal spray
I think I’ll stop there😌
Same for me. Good to know I have agrienf with the same problems. I use Restasis, Systane, and all of the Biotine products.
I use Refresh for dry eye, Biotene for dry mouth. Any suggestion for dry skin besides Cetaphil and Lubriderm? Thanks!
Same for dry mouth, and Eucerin very dry skin.
It’s the only thing that works for me, besides Rx, but mostly Eucerin.

What nasal spray do you use? Some are very drying.
Do you have allergies?
