Is there anything available in Phoenix? They do have the Help n Healing Home at $ 50.00 per night for a one bedroom unit with a sleeper sofa and a shared kitchen for 4 units. I will be there 6 weeks and the bill will mount quickly (plus it does not sound good for my caretaker). When I'm in the early stages of recovery - I'd like a full unit w/kitchen and 2 queen beds for more privacy.

There is a place in phoenix when i had my transplant my wife took a tour and really liked it but they were so full we ended up staying at a hotel. Luckily my insurance paid for a hotel up to 5000 so we did ok. But the place near Mayo itself i got the impression was cheaper than that. And there are strick rules about using the kitchen and quiet times which my wife actually liked. But depending on the time of the year Phoenix can be expensive. I had my transplant in Jan and we stayed at the hotel until February. Hotels that time of the year can run for a nice one 200 a night. But if its soon summer is pretty cheap and there are some nice hotels right near the property. We like a place called Cambria only a few miles away and it was less than a hundred. In the middle of summer you can find awesome deals for around 70 a night. Good luck
