PAC or PVC?
I have been getting heart rates from 60 to 65. My pacemaker is set at 60. Lately my rate has varied a lot. The pacemaker people tell me that it is regrow tj of my sinus which had quit totally when I had had the total heart block. My question how can I tell exactly what is going on

Hi @exboater, that must be confusing.
I wanted to tag fellow Connect members @lisa7 and @danab as they have had pacemakers and may be able to offer you support and share their experience.
Back to you @exboater have you discussed this with your cardiologist?
Hello this is @lisa7.I’m afraid I’m not all that computer savvy. But I do have a pacemaker and defibrillator. I had a sub to buy it to me at the mayo clinic in 2014. If I see another response on here I would be happy to offer any information about my experiences with my pacemaker defibrillator.
Only with pacemaker, cardiologist next week
Hi @exboater , yes i am familiar with your pacemaker question. I had a pacemaker for about 10 years and i was paced at 75. But in my case my internial pacemaker or SA can operate also. In my case when ever i went to my EP Cardiologist he would test my pacemaker by speeding me up and for a very short period shut it off to see if my SA was still working. So i know how uncomfortable it feels when you get used to a certain rate and it changes. But even tho the tech (mine was Boston Scienctific) knows a lot ask your Doctor to explain how yours is setup. These newer devices have a lot of functions and we played with mine mainly to help stop arrythmyais and not shock me until absolutely everything else was tried. So they may have yours setup to do something that bothers you and they can do other settings. I remember once they set mine to automatically speed up if i was using a major muscle group to help blood flow faster but after trying that for a few minutes i didn't like it so they shut it off. If you have any other questions im here.
