CAN A SPECIAL DIET BE THE ANSWER?
I have been on-line (of course) and I've been reading up on foods that can cause inflammation to autoimmune diseases.
I am attaching what I found.
Please know that I am NOT in the field of medicine or nutrition in any way.
Also, I am NOT advocating for any programs or products.
Just want to share what I found.
Use your own judgement.
Have a HAPPY SUNDAY!

HAPPY COOKING!!!!!!!!
Once diagnosed with PMR and understanding the important part inflammation plays, I researched to find all the anti-inflammatory foods/herbs/spices I could find. I've adjusted my diet to include as many as possible. I do believes it helps my condition, and of course cutting out thos that o cause inflammation such as sugar and processed foods.
Thank you so much for giving us the "diet". I certainly looks good to me and I have Lichen Planus. Any food suggestions will help us all with any of the immune diesases. Looks great to me. Certainly worth a try.
@grammlyn
Good Morning,
I am so happy that it looks like something that might help.
Please let us know how it works!
Good luck!

Before I became ill with PMR I ate a "good" diet of organic vegetables and fruit preferably heirloom, if I could find them at grocery store. What I cut out of this diet was the occasional sugar loaded sweet roll (treat) and other such items. I added more of the anti-inflammatory spices and herbs such as turmeric etc .I have not eaten beef for about thirty years and very little other meat. This morning I have a piece, about 4 ounces, of fresh wild salmon in the refrigerator for dinner this evening. For protein I rely on legumes, they have so much good "stuff: in them, in combination with other foods. I also eat an occasional egg. Eggs are my go to food when the cupboard is looking fairly bare. (need a trip to store) I believe each one of us has to work out his/her own food intake If that means going by a "set" plan such as paleo that is his/her decision, just not for me
@noosat1
Good morning!
Good for you, being able to go Paleo! I am trying to go the Mediterranean way. I love fresh fruit and veggies, but I have to make sure I get at least 80 grams of protein a day!
Have you found that you feel better since eating Paleo?
You are right, we all must find our own eating style that works for us and our lifestyle!
Happy eating for good health!
Ronnie (GRANDMAr)
Apparently you misunderstood. I do not eat Paleo. I have formulated my own diet.
When I became ill, my doctor of over fifteen yeas, sad he didn't see how he could improve on my diet. I just cut out any and all sugar and the occasional processed food and increased anti-inflammatory spices and herbs.
