Is it OK to use vitamin supplements?

Wondering if anyone had tried using B12 to ease withdrawal symptoms. I read somewhere that it can help a bit with the anxiety. Is that true?

Hi, @falon - just wanted to clarify that you are talking about the possibility of taking a vitamin B12 supplement to help with withdrawal from an antidepressant or another medication?

@lisalucier Yes Lisa. I was wondering if anyone has used it while withdrawing from benzos. I had heard or read that it helps with the anxiety.

Good morning @falon - I do not believe that you should take any supplement without having blood work to see if you need it. Withdrawal symptoms are so individualistic that it's hard to tell what will work. I, fortunately had no problems getting off of Effexor. But a lot of people do, as you can see in this group.
But I do caution you to ask your dr. if it will harm you if you try it!
