Hi,
Sorry about your car. You will get a lot of different advice. Of the two models you mentioned, I would go with the Toyota...the Prius gets good dependability and fewer repair costs ratings. I have had Hondas since 2005...a Honda CRV for 12 years and gave it to my grandson who had it for a year. I got the Honda HRV.....great for one or two people and lots of trunk space...has been a reliable car for me over the years. A friend of mine who is a mechanic and owns a shop doesn’t see many for repairs. Nothing will ever beat my old 78 Dodge Dart that was my mom in laws, then mine , then both of my kids...survived nearly 20 years.
Just make sure your trunk can hold lots of ribs and chocolate in case you come across a big sale. Nothing like a new car though. Get cooking!
