Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More
Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.
Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.
Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!
I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

I can't keep stuff in the house lol
@merpreb I have heard so many controversial things about soy that I tend to avoid it. I will have to look into some that do not have soy in them.

My nuwave just came but I’m sending it back. Gonna go get a different one later.
@lioness As to divinity it does require a candy thermometer to make. Likely there are now recipes that do not require one.
@karen00 I think @margieinia has some good suggestions. Try to do just a little so the thought of it won't be overwhelming. Once you do that you can increase your time out of bed in increments. As @merpreb said, the hospital would not have allowed you to home alone if they didn't think you were ready for it. If you really can't do it yet, can you possibly go to some type of extended care facility? Maybe a short time there would help. They would get you up and walking, a little at a time, and that could prepare you for doing the same when you are home alone.

@jakedduck1 My sister-in-law has made divinity, her mother's recipe, and given it to me. It is very good. Yes, you can make it here on the east coast, probably more successfully in the winter than the summer because the heat in the house makes the air very dry.
