@parus What a joy if you are able to get your grandson interested in cooking with you or baking, or anything creative. Can you can you just imagine the memories that you both will have! I have heard so many stories from adults about having some activity that was shared that really left an impression years later!

@gingerw I am working at leaving happy memories. My adult children have no happy memories with their grand parents. My grandson oft heads to get the craft basket. We use white paper plates as the background. I do bake the cookies ahead of time because of limited space. At 4 he gets a bit over enthusiastic.
I realize we are sharing healthy recipes and sugar cookies are healthy even though not in a nutritional way body wise-it can boost the spirit to make them and share. It helps my mind and spirit.
