Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More

Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.

Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.

Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!

I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

@lioness My sister does not wear hearing aids, but now I am wondering if vertigo might be more prevalent in people who do wear hearing aids.

No, I've not had the headaches, @lioness. But vertigo, dizziness, discomfort (aching) behind my eyes and nausea. That is quite enough.

@lioness and @merpreb

I did not know about the Eply, @merpreb, however, the physical therapist did that when I saw her on Tuesday. Here is a YouTube video describing the Eply maneuver (this one is for the left side) which is the side I have a problem with.

@hopeful33250 - did it work?

@merpreb
Thanks for asking! When the Epley was done in the PT office I did feel better. I'm doing the Gazing exercises and I've just started a couple of days ago, so I hope I will notice a difference soon.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better @lioness. I had a massage yesterday and I feel better as well. The massage therapist gave me some suggestions on exercises (for the neck) to do at home that might be helpful as well. Hoping that we both have a better week!

@gingerw I saw a similar picture and did not share thus as my humor is not always appreciated. I saw the cilia lifting weights. @lioness Reading your reply gave me courage to share my visual. We don’t always know what causes things. I had Lyme in 1983 and if my immune system is weak or stressed some of the symptoms flare. We never know what all causes what. I do know stress is one of my worst enemies.

@parud when you said cilia flare I saw a fire flowing upwards talk about a visual
