Hello @helaineyancey and sorry to hear about the burning in your right knee. I wonder if you have checked to see if a virtual appointment is an option for you to check back in with your care team to give them an update and see if they have additional recommendations. So many providers have this option now. Do you know if this is something that is offered?

I had a TKR last November, and after one year the burning went away. Ice and Voltaren Gel helped with the burning. I still have numbness on the outside of my knee and swelling. My Therapist says the swelling may not ever go completely away. I will schedule a visit with the surgeon this month to discuss. I am also considering acupuncture. The ligaments supporting my knee were stretched out, so would not stabilize the artificial knee, so I also have intramedullary rods. You just never know how it will turn out. I am glad I had only one knee done.
Well 3 years. Tried all types of pills and rubs. Results erratic. Makes you uncomfortable about trusting the knee. Met a man who had 10 ops in one knee. As with me, taking co-codamol 30mg500 along with Ibuprofen 400 for pain, and muscle relief cream. Helps but still have episodes.
Does anyone have burning and numbness on there knee 5 years after replacement?
