Depression really setting in
Things have been rough the past couple of months with My health. Seeing as there doesn't seem to be a light at the end if this tunnel I have found myself slipping further into depression. I no longer enjoy anything, I am barely sleeping or eating, I feel like I am watching my life through a fig that just keeps getting thicker. I seem to cry more and more each day. I went to see a therapist today hoping that it would help but it was just a consult and I think it made things worse because it brought up things that I worked really hard to push back. I feel like I am drowning and there is no way to come out of it and I just was hoping that there was help out there.

@hgarm- I hear you say this again and again and I'm so sorry for not being able to offer more. You feel that you are losing your fight so you need to take control and do something about it in an agressive way. You are strong and intelligent so call one of your doctor's and tell them that it's imperative that you are seen, if you won't go to the ER.
I'm not a doctor and neither is @hopeful33250. I'm afraid it's in your hands now. Please let us know what you decide to do. I care very much about your agony. What does your husband recommend?
He doesn't say much just that I have to get through it
I did some tapping therapy with brad Yates on YouTube
@hgarm I know you are scared I would be to but keep posting there are people on here that worry about you and are concerned so if you are religious rely on your faith to keep you going day by day , don't look into the future just take it day by day then you will feel you accomplished something this day . Virtual hugs
@hgarm good how did it go? You may have to do several times . I sent you a private message
@hgarm If you are this frightened going to the ER is my only suggestion. Do you think your anxiety is increasing your symptoms? A thought.
I went to the ER this weekend and they sent me home after giving fluids so it wasn't productive and just stressed me out more. It could be making things worse but I don't know. I was able to get an appointment to see a doctor on Monday so I am hoping she will help me
@hgarm- Good for you. I bet you feel better too because being dehydrated can cause a lot of problems. I am so glad that you get an appointment with a doctor so early. Let us know. I knew that once you acted you'd get results!

@hgarm You’re in a tough spot right now and it seems there is no way out, but there is. We’re here to help. The therapist needs to bring up old issues to find out what the root of the problem is. You’ve buried them but they’re still festering. Give the therapist several more tries. Please. And maybe set some daily goals for yourself. It’s not easy, but you’ll feel better. A goal could just be a walk around the block, or eating a good lunch, or drinking 4 cups of water. Achieving goals will help you feel better. I’d love to see you get better, so keep in touch. Becky
