Trying to find the right medications for my depression/anxiety
I have had depression for quite a few year now. I am in my 70's and found it harder to deal with. My psychiatrist has been working with me trying to find the best medication. So far no luck. He is very dedicated and does a great job trying to help. Right now I am takin 2 medications but they don't seem to do the
job either. They are Doxepin 25 mg and chlordiazepox. Help!

Thank you so much. Your thoughts are really appreciated and God Bless to you for your caring Patti
@Breda1968 - wondering how you are doing with the depression? Have you and your psychiatrist come up with another treatment plan for when you are done with your taper off of venlafaxine (Effexor)?
Hi, @brit - here is some information on NAMI https://www.nami.org/.
The depression comes first! There is no way that we would choose to just sit and look all day, every day, at all the tasks waiting for us to take care of. Doesn’t matter what kind of task - I cannot get up and do it. I love love love my bed. We are not lazy! This is depression. I have found that upbeat music helps a lot.
I pulled up the suggested message and all i got was asking for donation. I don''t even know what it is God Bless PATTI
@brit put on some soothing music and empty your mind just listen to the music and good thought of the past ,ocean sounds, Mts. maybe walking in the woods or just sitting listening to a bubbling brook to calm your thoughts
I am really trying so hard to get that Patti back again. What went wrong? My strength each day is on myself maybe that's the problem

@brit Thank you so much for sharing those suggestions with me. Feeling the way I do to tell the you truth right now I really don't feel like doing anything. That I know is not the right way to think but just being honest. What!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless Patti
