Copd, pulmonary fibrosis, mac bacterial infection and honeycomb lung
My husband has been diagnosed with all four of these and I just want to understand more about what is to be expected. And what I can do to help.

My husband is in the hospital. Trying to get rid of pneumonia and started him on 4 antibiotics for mac
@tmmmrlts- Good morning. I'm glad that your husband is finally getting the help that he needs. How is he feeling? What are the scans showing? How are you doing? I know that you have been through a lot .
@merpreb sorry been at the hospital with him in it. His pneumonia started coming back. When he walks to the bathroom or sometimes even stands up his oxygen drops and heartrate goes up way high. He took a pft test and couldn't walk 300ft they had him stop. They did a ekg said it shows abnormalities, they are going to do a ultrasound of his heart .to see if or what is wrong . That about all until tomorrow night. I am doing ok. I have to right now I have to be the strong one.
@ tmmmrlts- Good morning. It's so tough to watch someone you have been with for so long struggle. I'm sorry that you are going through this, both of you.
Please take care and check back when you can. Am thinking of you
Tmmrits, God bless and help you both, it's sound about as tough as it gets. My prayers are with you also as many others.
It is tough going through this. Am thinking fo you and your husband. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
@merpreb the scan is showing he has minimal air space left. Due to the mac bacterial infection and other things he has. They keep bumping up the oxygen to 8 or 10 then turning it back down to 6. They are talking about a feeding tube. Because he gets to out of air eating
