What is ground glass on a lung CT scan?

I too have had CT scans that showed ground-glass opacity in one of my lungs. I've also been told it is not a significant finding. It can be a result of a previous bout of pneumonia or some other infection. I see you have posted in some other discussion groups. How are you doing?

@chris8515- Hello again Chris. You really don't need one more thing do you? Why did your doctor order a CT scan ? I'm assuming that it was a pulmonologist? You said that you have had CT scans that show GGN- ground glass nodules. Are you being followed by a pulmonologist? GGN can be a lot of things and if more than one shows up, or grows than it really needs to be followed.
