Laryngitis connected to heart disease?

Read somewhere that chronic laryngitis that comes and goes can be connected to a nerve from heart to voice box. Anyone experienced this rare problem with heart disease?

Hi, @healthytoday, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Interesting potential connection with chronic laryngitis and heart disease. Do you recall where you may have read about a possible connection between these conditions?

I believe you mentioned in another post that you have a-fib. Is that correct?

Hi Lisa, yes, I have afib with MVP. I don't recall where I read about it. Probably googled laryngitis and possible heart disease connection. I was a patient at Scottsdale Mayo Clinic 6/16 hospitalized with heart failure. You all were wonderful pulling me back from death. Long story.

Hi, @healthytoday, thanks for sharing more about your diagnosis. Sounds like you have quite a story if you were at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale with heart failure and felt as though the providers there pulled you back from death.

I'd like to introduce you to @predictable @karenatmayo @bjanderson @racerjon @jigglejaws94, who may have some thoughts for you on the concept of a potential chronic laryngitis and heart disease connection.

From what you have asked about chronic laryngitis, I'm guessing that you may have experienced this in addition to your a-fib? What have your doctors said about a potential connection between the two conditions?
