Lighten You Limbs With Friends Starts Tomorrow!
Just a reminder to be ready to start to Lighten Your Limbs tomorrow, Friday, November 2, 2018. I am looking forward to beginning. To have a clean slate and be able to start new and fresh is always a blessing. Remember that this first week---from Nov. 2 through Nov. 8 is Week 1. Do what is comfortable and gradually work into what is right for you.
Mayo says 5 minutes of warm-up walking at a slow pace. Then walk faster for 5 minutes. Then cool-down for 5 minutes with walking a slow pace again. That's 15 total minutes. Also, we'll do five days a week and take two days off, if you want to. Or you can do more days.
It's said that it takes two weeks to establish a habit, so let's get through the first two weeks and have our habit established. I am ready to start feeling healthier and stronger. I hope those of you who are doing this program with me will be walking some time tomorrow.
Happy Walking to everyone. I'll report my progress for Week One on the 8th of Nov.
Do what you can and find success.

Best of luck on your new walking program. I am already walking 150 minutes a week, but I think the program is great for anyone who wants to start walking. I wish everyone all the best on getting healthier!!!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!!!
Thank you @chocolate5lover. I hope those who do this with me and for themselves will find it beneficial. I know it; I am not new to exercise; it's just been too long since I was an exercise fanatic. Now, I am starting all over again. I doubt that I'll get fanatic again, but my goal is to get healthier and stronger.
Congratulations on your program. We'll start with 75 minutes a week, and at Week 12, we'll be doing 200 minutes a week, so I look forward to that.

I have found the I can't go further than 150 minutes a week, or else I have trouble with my sugar dropping a lot. Best of luck on your new walking program. Enjoy it, you will fell better!
I plan to get to 150 minutes a week and then move on. I've never had trouble with my sugar dropping. Maybe it will be more consistent with the exercise program. We'll see.

Please don't go by what I have--I have a lot of strange rises and drops--they believe it is part of the anxiety issues I have also. If I get real stressed, my sugar shoots up; and then, later on when I relax--my sugar drops drastically. It has been an "interesting" journey for me. I am glad that you don't have those issues! Take care.
Good luck to all of the participants. I will sort of be along but I am already doing more than that. When I went to my health club yesterday though I did take a tip from this when I was doing the treadmill. I started out for 5 minutes going slower than usual, speeded up for 5, and continued like that for 25 minutes.
What I really could use is a support group for dieting. I was very successful at that but I’m having a hard time getting the 8 - 10 pounds I have gained off again. My PCP still seems pleased with how well I have done though, but I want last year’s wardrobe to fit!
