CBD Oil
Has anyone tried this for pain? My daughter-in-law is waiting for steroid injections as she has 2 buldging disks in her back and a torn ligament. Her doctors prescribed Tylenol and Tylenol 3. Did not work. CBD Oil has made a difference. She swears by it! Anyone else tried it?

I have tried CBD Distillery the 1000 mg Full Spectrum (trace amount of THC) and also the Green Road 1000 mg Isolate (zero trace amounts of THC). I liked the taste of CBD Distillery Full Spectrum better, a mild black pepper flavor, yet not spicy just earthy. Green Roads Isolate tastes like artificial sugar, too sweet yet saw no sugar substitute in ingredients. I believe the Full Spectrum with the trace amount of THC made my happy self feel even a bit happier and with the Isolate no noticeable change in mood. Isolate important to use if you are drug tested for employment as trace amounts can show as positive. I have only used about 5 drops each day, perhaps that is why I notice no arthritis improvement. I also was trying it to reduce inflammation from eczema and yeast issues but know that my inflammation issues have improved dramatically in the last few months due to a sugar/carb detox as I was using CBD oil for at least 4 months before I started the detox with no improvement in health. Seriously cost is an issue, if you used a dropper full you would be spending over a hundred a month. For example the 30 ml bottle of Green Roads 1000 mg Isolate runs over $150. Can you afford that monthly? Even if you do feel better, it is just temporary as it is not a cure so we are talking $1800.00 plus a year. I bet legal MJ is cheaper. Since I notice no improvement in my arthritis pain I don't think it is worth it. Yet may reconsider as the price will go down within a year. Congress has now approved the growing of hemp as an agricultural product again after being banned for decades and it is used to make CBD Oil as well as a multitude other products. . All our CBD oil at this point is imported. This is an unregulated product. I ordered both on the internet. Shop yourself for sites that compare and review price, rating quality and taste. Very interesting and all contact information is provided.
What about online sites to order as I don’t have a dispensary near me ??
I don’t use on line so I can’t comment. But you can still shop by looking at dosage...
All the suppliers sell on line and the price on line was similar to store prices except paying for shipping. Yet often not paying sales tax compensates for shipping charge. Just Google CBD sales and you will be overloaded. As much as I love Amazon, when I ordered for the first time all they offered was hemp oil not high grade CBD. Although CBD is made from hemp, basic hemp oil doesn't contain the concentrated CBD. Do order the oil that goes under the tongue for the saliva to begin breaking it down for a minute then swallow. Food items aren't as effective as saliva needs to break it down before entering the stomach. Stomach digestive aids aren't enough. If you fail to do this you loose half of the potency. Also creams are said to be ineffective. I have no interest in smoking, but a bong can be used. I mentioned I ordered twice on line, good service and should have mentioned I bought once in a "head shop". I did feel intimidated and took a girlfriend. Two old ladies going in giggling, but the staff was professional in spite of their nose rings, tongue rings, ear lobe distortions and purple and blue hair and tattoos. They only sold the Green Roads CBD products and took time to answer all my questions. I see signs in gas stations now which sell CBD oil, it's commonly available in every state I have been in lately. Still I say all this with trepidation. Legit CBD products are expensive and unproven and must admit after my personal testing I find no benefit. The only harm being the money wasted but it didn't seem to hurt me physically. Yet if you are desperate I understand, give it a try for we all need to have hope.
My experience is that there is a variety of pricing and quality out there. This is who I use:
Lazarus Naturals is a highly reputable seller of CBD hemp oil products based in Portland, Oregon. Their regular and high-potency tinctures are a whole-plant hemp extract and contain a full spectrum of naturally-occurring cannabinoids and terpenes. Their “flavorless”, “wintermint” and “tropical breeze” tinctures are made from isolate so have 0% THC.
They use kosher ethanol instead of unhealthy solvents to remove CBD from the plant material. And they dilute their CBD extract with their proprietary blend of hemp oil, MCT oil and avocado oil to allow for easier absorption by the body.
Lazarus Naturals’ prices are the lowest in the industry. Their objective as a company is to “provide CBD at an affordable price so that someone who is working a minimum wage job can afford to take it on a daily basis without breaking the bank.” And their prices certainly reflect that objective.
They also have the best CBD assistance program in the industry. Veterans, those on disability and low-income individuals can apply for their assistance program that offers a 60% discount.
Popular products: Full spectrum and isolate CBD oil drops, capsules, topicals and more
Source of hemp: Non-GMO farms in Europe and Colorado
Extraction method: Kosher ethanol
Tincture carrier oil: Fractionated coconut oil; also hemp seed oil in full spectrum
Prices: Low (as low as $0.05 per mg of CBD)
Shipping cost: Free shipping on U.S. orders over $50
Countries served: All 50 U.S. states and internationally (except Canada, UK and Australia)
Excellent and helpful information. If I consider buying it in the future will definitely look into this maker. The assistance program info will be particularly helpful for those who can't afford to even try it to see if it helps them. Any order is normally over $50.00 and free shipping is a plus.
I think it helps to some extent, especially if I use it faithfully, and not just when I think about it.
I need more information too, but am not sure enough research has been done to answer my question. I take half a .5 mg dose of clonazepam (Klonipin) at bedtime. A doctor had me start taking it at a very stressful time in my life. It's a small dose, but I can't get off it now, nor can several of my friends who are nurses. The more I taper down, the worse the withdrawal problems get. I have heart palps each day, and have stopped trying to get off the clonazepam because tapering off makes my heart problems worse and I can't sleep. Not good for someone in my seventies. My doctor says it's such a small dose that I should just keep taking it. But clonazepam is sedating. And friends of mine with arthritis say that CBD oil, when rubbed on sore joints makes them sleep very soundly. So that must be sedating too. One pharmacist warned me not to use both, since it could cause serious problems.
I have a lot of arthritis. My neck and knees are the worst. I also have hip bursitis if I don't sleep on my back all the time. I'm allergic to almost all antibiotics, so my rheumatologist says I probably won't ever be able to have knee replacements. My heart palps and antibiotic allergies are the reasons. The day may come when I have bone on bone arthritis in my knees, and I'll need something like CBD oil.
Does anyone know where I can find research on whether people can safely use small amounts of CBD oil if taking Clonazepam?
CBD seems to be quite helpful. Thanks
No but I'm willing to try anything at this point
I had hip bursitis. My pain management Dr shot it up with cortisone and it went away
