Esketamine Therapy for Treatment Resistant Depression: Experiences?

Thank you, everyone, for your encouragement and replies. I do find the CBT helpful. I am having a hard time now, so I have to get back to work with it. I have to be honest and say that I get too many notifications in my email and so I will leave Mayo Connect. I will remove myself tomorrow, in case someone wants to communicate with me another way.

What I'd suggest, instead of leaving the community if the notifications seem to be too many, might be to unfollow the whole Mental Health group. You can click on your username to see your profile and what groups you are following, then click on Edit next to Groups, and then drop down to Unfollow. You can stay just following this discussion you started about esketamine only, then, if you'd prefer.

What other antidepressants have you tried thus far, @fighter?

I’ve never tried this. Although I’m not thrilled with the weight gain Cymbalta combined with Adderral has helped a lot. I still feel heavy in my chest but I can be coaxed to go out now.

Its been a while since I've seen posts related to esketamine therapy. I was wondering if some in the group would update us on their status before, during, or after esketamine? I know @hopeful123 was involved with the therapy 3 years ago or so....others in the group???

I am currently finishing up a second round of TMS. My doc thinks that I may benefit from esketamine now, since the response from TMS has only been minimal, but thankful for that!!

Would really like those that have esketamine experience to chime in here on this new thread and let us know how it's going.

Does your doctor what you to start the treatment and continue Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)?
