Anxiety, stress or what??
Since December 2017 I hhave been dealing with a wide variety of symptoms that have plagued me every single day for 8months. Symptoms are heightened anxiety, panic attacks, episodes of racing heart with hypertension, full body aches, epsidoes of extreme cold or feeling feverish,
Jitteryness, internal vibrations, tightness in my chest. The worst symptom is a stressful feeling that comes over my body , almost the feeling if you got done doing something strenuous or had a very heated argument with someone but all I'm doing at time is watching TV š the feeling makes my chest tight and my bp going high. Ive had countless blood work in months that all returned normal. Countless ekgs that return normal. A normal MRI and EEG. iam hypothyroid and initially the syntpoms felt very hyperthyroid BC I had tooo much energy but after seeing 5 different endos the bloodwork shows iam still hypothyroid with inactive graves disease and was told there is no way what's happening to me is thyroid related. It honestly feels like more stress related than anxiety when it comes on. And its not an all day feeling either. It comes in episodes. It happens evening single evening. Ive been on xanex 1mg since January BC it is the ONLY medicine that eliminates my symptoms as soon as they start. Has anyone else been through this?? My docs are clueless

Sometimes it's helpful to help those less fortunate. I have to go to the hospital every six weeks. I see how resilient much sicker people are than I am (people with missing limbs, minds etc., brought in for treatment on gurneys etc. ) Perspective IS everything. When I was in a coma for five weeks, my mind was like a not-so-Merry go round, of uncontrolled, mostly negative thoughts/feelings. I vowed I would someday have a better Default setting (more positive), so if I ever go into a coma again, the View will be better. Don't give up

Wow, a "better default setting." Another great thought for today!

@user_cha272278: Thank you so much for putting things into perspective! I felt better just reading your suggestions. And, after all you personally have been through, my issues seem small. Isnāt mutual support wonderful?!?
This question pertains to epileptics during a seizure do you hyperventilate uncontollably
Please have a thorough physical. There is such a thing as Somato-Psychic effects- (the opposite of psycho-Somatic). Sometimes your body generates anxiety (too much caffeine for example) no matter what your mind tells you. Doctors spend their life studying the body on mind influences. Body and mind are intertwined- but not the same. So please see your doctor and be straightforward about your symptoms. The more specific you can be, the better. Your doctors and you have the Same goal, that is the Quality of your life. Peace.
Yes that is exactly what my doctor tell me / his role is to improve my life and he is very very good at that ( Mayo trained but residing in Thailand )
mbabkk: has your doctor recommended anxiety meds for you? I went on Lexapro and it seems to help keep me on a more even keel. Still getting occasional āfitsā of anxiety but not quite as often.
I have been on every medication possible and am now trying Meditation and Support Groups! I also use Journal Writing and Poetry to help combat my need for medications; as I also had a Major Stroke!
Thank you for the question and yes I am takingAtivan0.5 mg as needed max 3 tablets a day but I normally only take one in the morning and only a second one if some real stress issue lies ahead
I should add that I am also temporary on Deanxit- a drug not available in the us. N it is to give me a ten booster for 3 month yen go back to Ativan only
It certainly works but makes me very tired. My neurologist asked my just to finish the 3 month course and I said Ativan alone would then work better again - i trust HIK so i obey
