Let's just be free to rant: No known cause for my pain
Hi. I'm 20 years old and haven't figured out the cause of my pain yet. This is the first place I've found with people I can talk to who just get it. Everyday I wake up and I'm at the very least achy all over. Usually my joints are stiff and something they feel better later in the day and sometimes they get worse especially if I'm in the sun at all. My ankles swell most days... and yesterday I started getting burning in the tip of my thumb and numbness in others. Last night the pain got so bad in my right hand that I couldn't even grasp a spoon and I had to cook dinner with my left. I'm 20!! I run a farm and this just hit me suddenly one day. I feel so useless sometimes. I know it's not my fault but 3 months ago I was able to do everything (I hurt but not this bad) I was strong and now just a bit of work leaves me completely in pain, brain fog and dead tired. What is that???

Oo I hate ticks! Ive only seen one since moving to Cali and it wasn't on me. I think my last tick was when I was 15-16 back when I lived in the south. It's definitely a possibility to look into though since I saw one in my sink last week.
It's one of my suspicions. I'm sorry you have to go through this!
Yeah I hadn't really thought about the manure dust until you asked. I'll definitely ask my doctor about that.
Luckily, I have a doctor specifically for vitamins and she only supplies me with good reliable supplements but if all else fails a process of elimination may be necessary. That's how I zeroed in on gluten being a big problem for me.
I try using essential oils for misquotes but it's not 100%. I may have to look into getting a real spray without deet.
Thank you:) your questions definitely got me thinking. Lyme disease is a good suggested. I'm not familiar with West Nile. I haven't had a high fever just had consistent low grade fevers that I know isn't my normal body temperature cause I use a basal thermometer every morning to get to know my cycle more but lately it's not telling me anything cause the temps aren't ranging the way they're supposed to. If that makes any sense.
@bunnysammy where do you live in California ?I live in Long Beach the only bugs I see here are roaches, ants and bedbugs not so many bedbugs now ?
@bunnysammy, The article I read about the increase said they were even a danger in heavily urban areas.
@lioness I live in the mountains near big bear.
@bunnysammy I too love the Mts. Our cabin in Pa.was in the Allegheny Mts and we vacation we in the Smokey Mts.
I know this may seem dramatic but I'm at the end of my rope... for now, I know I'll get stronger again. I feel like im dying. I don't know what's wrong with me and I'm in so much pain and no one around me seems to believe how extreme it is. Everyday I wake up and I don't know how I'm going to get through the day and yet I do. I feel so sick. After 15 mins of work I want to take a 2 hour nap and I get dizzy so dizzy. Everyone keeps telling me how healthy I am but how can I be when I feel like this? I keep a diary of my symptoms but lately I've been too exhausted to even write them out. I don't know how I'm going to deal with this forever.
Hi @bunnysammy
You'll notice that I merged your new discussion thread "This may be dramatic" to the discussion you started earlier and modified the title to "Let's just be free to rant: No known cause for my pain". I did this so that your story and the suggestions and followups would all be in one place. This will help members stay up-to-date on your investigations and progress, and be able to help you better along this journey as you and your health team try to figure out what is going on. Make sense?
Here is an update guys. @songbird62rs @gailb @parus @bonnieh
I saw a rheumatologist. She's really nice. We ran a bunch of tests and I'll hear back in a week. She thinks that I definitely have arthritis though.
