I know this is an old post but came across it and thought I would tell you what I know. I have suffered from vertigo for thirty years, saw lots of doctors and took various medications. Finally I saw a neurologist in the Texas Medical Center (Houston) and he was awesome. He taught me to use exercises to help resolve the vertigo. There are many techniques and you can google vertigo exercises (Please check with your ENT/Neuro/Primary Care first). My neurologist also performed a "vertigo" test on me where the result was jerky eye movements, a result that helps to confirm vertigo. He had me do the Epley maneuver and within a week or two my issues resolved. I do this now when I feel a flare coming on. Hope this helps!

Can you explain more about the Epley maneuver and how it helped?
