@aea1205- Good morning. Not much is scarier than finding yourself short of breath. I know I've had lung cancer 4 times. Have you been to a pulmonologist? Have you had any CT scans?
Anxiety is indeed a factor, how can it not be?
You might have COPD, which can cause all of these symptoms.
I am not over weight but I do feel less able to breathe if I gain weight, esp around holidays. And as soon as I lose it my breathing is a lot easier.
You might need more than one kind of inhaler that you take everyday.
Would you consider returning to your doctor or even switching to one, a Pulmonologist?

I have had 5 chest xrays, 3 ekgs, a 48 hour holter moniter, thyroid workup, thyroid panel, hornone tests, a spirometry lung test, which she said 1 number was low but then i brought it up with the neb.... a cat scan of lungs, a lot of blood work that has all been fairly normal.... only thing off was my co2 was a tad low, which if you have copd, co2 is high.... i had an elevated ddimer, dont know why, and my red blood count was a little high....none so bad they are that concerned.... i have a pulmonologist already... they have tried me on anti depreasants which i cant take. Cant stand the way they make me feel....i also have a endocrineologist who did the hormone and thyroid. Next i need an allergist to rule that out. Its just so weird bc that back pain is always there.... odd
