Yes @tonyagregg, I'd like to keep in touch with you. Sounds like what you have is pretty similar to me. It's been much worse before, but it's stabled out. Still not gone by any means, but I can at least live with it. Let's stay in touch. Maybe we can tag team our research or let each other know if we find some kind of answers.

O man I'm going through this now for about the past year. Only difference is, I have severe anxiety disorder and panic attacks. So everytime i complain to my doctor that I have those bouts of sudden runs of "catching my breath" it feels as if I can't at times get my relief and I'm always trying to gasp to get that relief. It's such a hard thing to explain. My doctor keeps changing my anxiety meds, but I know deep in my soul, this is no anxiety.. this feels much different. Its uncomfortable, and annoying. I have been dealing with some sinus problems, stuffiness, trouble smelling at times..but I just feel my doctor kinda brushes me with.." it's ur anxiety" I'm like 😞 I know it's different. At times I don't wanna get outta bed, because that lingering feeling of needing to catch a breath is a nuisance! I'm gonna try exercising but I want to follow ur opinions. I just had it go away for about 3 weeks and I thought I was in the clear, buddy! I was so happy. But ..sure enough about 4 days ago it came back. Those was the best 3 weeks ever I tell ya! Anyways I just wanted to share, cause I'm suffering over here and it's so hard to find the right words to google this issue. But ur comment was just like telling me how I felt. Thank u man, thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Gabe, thank you so much for sharing your story! I hope you are well. It helps me know that I am not the only one with the same condition. My breathing issue started 2 years ago. I feel this urge of constantly taking a deep breath, which 90% of the time it doesn’t work from the first try. I have visited all possible doctors, even psychotherapist. I took antidepressants as they were thinking this is anxiety. It didn’t help. I am doing breathing exercises which help from time to time but the problem comes back again. Sometimes i cry from frustration and anger because it disturbs me and just comes without a warning. I have excellent blood, lung and heart results, however they diagnosed me with a stress induced asthma which to me is wrong, as I don’t have any cough, wheezing and stuff like that. I dont have any allergies and i am very active person. Nevertheless, the breathing issue bothers me sometimes when I exercise (especially with cardio exercises), but sometimes it doesn’t occur at all. There are times when it’s more intense and times where is manageable. I have done also hormonal tests and everything there was also fine. I am about to try the inhalers to see if this would help but I doubt it, as I don’t even take any medications in general. What i have noticed is that sometimes if i eat a bit more or the urge of taking a deep breath was already there, then i feel my stomach bloated and the issue gets more intense. Anyway, I wanted to share with you and thank you for telling us your story. I gave up on checking and trying to find out what is wrong with me as even the doctors don’t know any longer…I am trying to find a way of how to learn to live with it. Keep us posted and stay strong!

Thank you for the detailed post. I also face the same shortness of breath issue for the past 6 months. A few times I woke up at night due to breathlessness (sleep apnea). I suffer from allergy issues for the past 20+ years. CBC, Chest x-ray, ECG, echo and chest CT are normal. I also have hand pain(pins and needles and numbness) whenever I work on my laptop that is charging. I suspect nerve issue.
Don't know if it is related to the shortness of breath issue.

Don't know what else to do to diagnose the reason.

Also thinking of trying some alternative medicines in ayurvedha.

Wanted to connect with you to share.

Thans again for sharing your experience.

Hi Gabrielm, I had the exact symptoms for 8 years now. Six months ago my dr suggested to take vitamin d2 supplements for another unrelated reason and since then my SOB is completely gone. I stopped the vitamin for 2 weeks and it came back! I am convinced my symptoms went away by taking vitamin d2.

How are you feeling? My daughter has chronic Lyme and she has the same problem. Air hanger. Yesterday was the worst.
