@jspremich Jerry, are you familiar with Dr. Andrew Weil? He is a Harvard grad M.D. that chose to practice Integrative Medicine. He combines Eastern medicine with Western. He is mainly a Naturopath. He has some very good books out there that I started reading 12 yrs ago. I followed his suggestions and felt improvement within weeks. I eliminated my asthma by changing my diet. He has one book titled 'Eating for Optimal Health'. I like that he explains on a cellular level what is in various food and how it acts in our bodies. He talks about the different flowers, herbs, mushrooms, etc. that can boost our immune system. I reference my collection of his books frequently.
@jspremich I also wanted to add that since you are on the verge of needing meds to treat your mac; you may want to at least be doing the inhaled 7% saline breathing treatment. Are you familiar with this?
Jspremich....I know nothing Re immunotherapy Rx for Mac. My ID Dr at NJH says to take at least 2000 units of Vit D to help immunity. Also they tested my blood to see if my immunoglobulins were within normal level...they were. Tdrell
Who is conducting the Nitric Oxide studies?
Nothing yet. It's why I put out the feeler, hoping others may know of a possible immune therapy. I've asked my infectious disease md, but no response yet. Will let you know when I know. jerry s
