I also think Tramadol gets a bad rap because people misuse it. I still take 1/2 pill once or twice a day if I'm having pain, which I do on some days. Taking it as needed works for me. It is the only pain pill that works on my pain and doesn't have side effects. Additionally, I have learned that it doesn't lend itself to needing more and more of it. Even though I was addicted to it, and had withdrawal when I began reducing the number of pills per day, I had never increased the number of pills per day during the 1.5 years I took it.

Hi Gail, I was put on tramadol when things went south in my body 20 years ago. It was the first pain med the doc. gave me and it helped a lot -And back then they always said it was not a narcotic cause it is synthetic. Now I take hydrocodone and I have tramadol if I have break through pain. But the new docs I see won't prescribe it. And so many dr.s years ago felt it was safe and a great pain drug. The opiod epidemic is taking a toll on legitimate pain sufferers.

Hi Galib..Thanks for the post http://www.noml.org I came from Oregon (with a Doctors Prescription) from my own doctor and could pick up marijuana 7 days a week. Several forms. I like the oil. I feel so bad for Doxyjune. I take Tramadol, but I try not to take it as frequently as doctor requested. I was also told by her to double my dose. I asked her to rewrite the script increasing the number and she waved it off. So, I have to use it wisely. It is all I have. I did buy Tylonnol and will try that. I see my RA doctor in about three weeks and I am sure she will sign me up for two weeks of Infusion again. THAT really helps. I am seeing a Pain doctor in two weeks. My primary care said for me not to expect any pills. If he cannot inject into my back, he probably will do nothing. I hate to repeat this on here, but she told me that the Pain doctors have finally had the brakes put on. They will more than likely be closing and going into mainstream medicine. I believe they are also qualified as pain mgt during surgery. My Primary doctor said that if he says, I can have a PILL form pain relief, SHE will be disbursing the script. She wants me, as she put it to be honest with her about my pain. She wants my quality of Life to be good, not bad due to pain. I am 76. I doubt I will become a drugee and if I did so what. My mother was in Hospice and they will giving her serious pain meds about every 15 minutes toward the end. I complained to the nurse. She looked at me strange and said. SHE IS DYING. I don't care what the youth has done to ruin our pain management. Most of their parents probably don't even know they use and could care less. This should have been approved for seniors. I am in Remission right now and I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. Have you heard of Kradom? Check it out before it is taken off the market. You don't get it from a doctor. They are private growers. I don't know what country found this drug It grows wild in the rain forest. Once the wealthy found out about it, they surged on the forest to cut it out and bring it home. I saw a special on it about 5 years ago. Just search Kradom on google

@oregongirl I hate these pain shots Just had 2and it took about 3weeks to totally take effect.I called and told nurse she said she left message but never got a call back but know he can't prescribe anything that helps us.So I rely on rubs or Lidocaine patches What are we to do?

Can't afford patches 200.00 per script. People who use Marijuana are not poor and out of work. If Texas does not get going on this there will be people selling and moving to a nearby state who will approve Marijuana. Can't keep buying my Ra meds. I worked hard for my freedom and. Now 78, I am being told what i can and can't do.

@oregongirl now what you mean.I still have a little bit of cbd oil left I don't think I have the correct one it's 50mg I use it on my knees which helps but my back is another story I found the backbrace that helps me is the one that keeps your body heat in helps the best of all the braces I've tried but rest is the best We work hard all are lives then this is how we are treated makes you mad

@oregongirl I do have a good rheumatologist she can fax over Tramadol 50mg 1every 8hrs but I can take 2for brake through but so far 1does me although occasionally I need 2 in a day I'm lucky she can prescribe but I'm in California

Can I make a suggestion. I fell and crushed my T11 vertebra. They did a proceedure called Kyphoplasty. I immediately could walk again. Left back brace at hospital. Never had to wear it. I keep thinking it WD not work. It did.

@oregongirl I did just read up on it The MRI I just had done showed a bulging disc where the compressed fracture is Going to talk with Dr.about this on Thursday also.I,'ll see what is recommended I'm 75soon 76
