Alternatives for pain management
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone tried cryo therapy or medical marijuana for pain management. If you did, how did they/it work?
Thanks

Gee, if I were to even mention medical marijuana I would probably be arrested. All of the drug abusers have caused so much trouble for those of us with real pain. We are not looking for a high. We are looking for help and being punished because of the REAL abusers!
I have done everything I know to do and find I am terribly discouraged. Those of us who play by the rules are being punished for the abuse of others.
Yes, I am in a hard place because of pain and only being told by a pain specialist to get out and walk. My quality of life is awful and no one can do any thing.
Suck it up old woman-I have been and it is not working.
Hello. It's been a while since I've commented. My doctor has signed the papers saying it's okay to try the CBD oil which is legal in VA. My doctor asked me where I could buy it. Through on-line research, which cannot always be believed, I found prices ranging from $5.99 to $99.00 for the same amount of oil. Can anyone tell me how and where to buy CBD oil made from the leaves and not from the hemp? Thank you for your time. And good luck with our individual searches for relief.
What brand do you use? Thank you.
Deep breaths, good posture, aquatic therapy... Thank you.
Hope you're feeling better.
It too have tried all that you have tried multiple times. My spine is in such bad shape from top to bottom. I have had lumbar surgery 2x and kypoplastic in the thoracic area. I also have 3 compression fractures in the thoracic area and two in the lower along with degeneration and more, you name it, I've got it. I have been told I wouldn't find a surgeon who would operate. I don't like the affect that pain meds have on me. But the CBD is not legal in my state! I would be wiling to try almost anything.
@jimhd I too suffer from the neuropathy pain in my feet. I have found that to stand or walk on concrete floors, such as the grocery stores, makes things so much worse by evening, when mine is at it’s worst. Also, I have found that a pair of the original sheepskin lined short boots with no socks is the most helpful footwear that I can wear. My feet are always hot at night when the pain level is going up and I cool them down with cool air from the window or with an icepack ( one of the soft mud-filled ones). Before the cooling part,I give them a massage using a thick ointment that stays on being sure to cover every inch of my feet and ankles.(Cerave healing ointment is the one I use). Just a few thoughts. I think that good rest is so very important to us, so whatever is comforting to you will help at bedtime. For me it is prayer and scripture that i memorized as a young child. A favorite old movie on very quietly can also help to fall asleep as well as soft music. Here’s to less foot pain!
Happy Friday,
Just wanted to share an article with you.
Here is the link:
http://dailyorganicrecipes.com/prescription-painkiller-tramadol-claiming-more-lives-than-any-other-drug/?t=simlife
I have tried Oxy and Hydro and neither works. When I had a tooth ache and extensive work done, I was given Tramadol.
Not only did the Tramadol help my mouth, but it worked wonders on my back. Guess because it was new to my system.
Anyway, I personally believe that unless you have an allergy or you are taking a med that does not mix well with Tramadol, or you have an ailment that does not react well to the med, we should be fine.
I dislike the way this article slants the information. It makes us sound like we are junkies taking these drugs for some sort of high.
I think we are smart enough to know that if we take too much of the meds, not follow the instructions, mix it with other drugs or alcohol, we could be in horrible trouble.
Just saying!!
@grandmar I have been taking Tramadol since 2005 when I fractured my back 6at hat time now 2a day sometimes just 1 it works great for me I think it gets a bad rap from those drugs that people combine with it.You shouldn't combine narcotics with it . Be under the Dr,s care for it.
For those who are interested in keeping up with developments concerning marijuana, I recommend this group, http://www.norml.org. Their goal is the legalization of Marijuana / Cannabis at the Federal Government level. They have good up to date information on their site. You can join the organization if you want.
